When in Townsville a must visit is Castle Hill, we drove to the top, however, we must have passed about 10 groups of people walking up to the lookout. What a pleasant surprise when you arrive with magnificent views and easily accessible lookout huts. We climbed the steps up to one of the higher points which gave us a different outlook so we felt it was well worth it. There are quite a few different walking tracks for exploring the area which looked like they would suit various fitness levels. Robb and I knew very little about Townsville so we were very lucky to be visiting friends there who took time out from their busy lives to show us around. We were a bit impressed with Townsville and really enjoyed out time there. The first photo I have posted is a view over to Magnetic Island, we wanted to visit there but didn't have time so it has now been added to our 'Next Time' list.
