This years adventure is very different from last years European vacation. We are commencing our holiday in Townsville to catch up with our friend and her new husband who we haven't yet met. It will also be an opportunity to catch up with our friend's family and spend a bit of time with them. After that we are flying to Cairns to pick up a Britzy van to spend a week in Cairns, travel to Darwin and spend a week there and then drive to Broome to spend 8 nights relaxing on the beach. Before we can start all of this there is of course the pre holiday preparation which includes making sure the house is cleaned through, the yards are as good as they can be including making sure all my winter vegetables are planted so that they can thrive while we are away and then feed us on our return. Packing the cases which took extra consideration this time because of the size of our van and then the worst of all parting from our beautiful dog Tilly, she always knows when we are going away without her and stacks the guilt on to the maximum. So all set to leave and drive to Andrew's Parking to leave our car and then have them drop us at the Holiday Inn. We love staying here and particularly love the restaurant where we always have an excellent meal, this time was no exception, Robb had the Rib Eye and I had the Jambalaya, both excellent. Early to bed then up at 8.45am to get ready to be driven to the airport.
