Palatine Hill is the central of the seven hills of Rome and one of the most ancient parts of the city. There are so many wonderful sights to see in Rome but if you only have time to go to one then this would have to be at the top of the list. The gardens are beautiful set in this historical site where if you have the time and energy you can visit the palaces, forum and look over to Circus Maximus and of course the Colosseum is just up the road. We didn't take a tour because of time constraints but I would suggest you do if you have the time. The ideal would be to take a tour of the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill if there is one available, I wish someone had of given us this information before we went.
