We only viewed this Basilica from the top of the Ho Ho bus because when we arrived at the stop it was raining heavily and we weren't dressed to cope with the rain. This is the largest church dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rome and is a papal church so owned by the 'Holy See'. It is an imposing building and one that I would definitely put on my list to visit.
