When travelling and we only have a short time somewhere we usually seek out the hop on hop off buses to maximise our touring experience. If you want you can just travel around and see all the main attractions in a city or you can decide as you go where you would like to come back to and spend a little time. You can also use this service as a local bus to get you to a special attraction you are interested in, often it is cheaper than a taxi. There are a few negatives with these services in that sometimes it is difficult to find the stops to first hop onto the bus, next because of the extreme traffic conditions in some cities you may need to wait longer than advertised for the bus to turn up and crowding can be an issue so you may have to wait for a couple of buses before being able to find a seat and then when you do find a seat the speaker may not work for your headphones but these are occasional problems and we would always use these services. Big Bus Rome was a good service but the one negative was trying to find a stop near our accommodation to commence our journey. Once we were on the Big Bus we were treated to one main attraction after another in this beautiful city.
