Towards Rome

After a bit of a refresh and tidy up at Dubai Airport we were back on board heading towards our very first stop - magnificent Roma. As opposed to Melbourne and Dubai airports Rome with regards to security was unbelievably easy to negotiate, so easy I wanted to check to make sure we had been through all the necessary stations. The only issue we had was that we had to catch a train for one stop but nobody explained that to us. We basically followed the crowds and hoped we were going the right way. We had booked a pick up to take us to our accommodation because we arrived at night and didn't want to have to cope with looking for rides and our hotel when we would be tired from flying, we had been up and on the go for 22 hours by this stage. Unlike most valet services we have used where they were waiting for you at the arrivals gate holding a sign with your name on it we had to go looking for their kiosk and tell them we had arrived, then we had to wait for nearly an hour for the bus to turn up. This was probably to wait for others to come in from other flights so that they didn't have to travel with a half empty bus, and then to add insult to injury the bus was overcrowded and we had to squeeze in.
