Because we live 2 hours from Melbourne and we know we have a 5.00am flight from Melbourne to Dubai for the first leg of our journey we have to decide whether to drive down that night or stay over at the airport and have a VERY early pick up. Not wanting to take any chances we decide on the stay over and of course you don't get any sleep because you are aware of the early start to your day. We chose the Airport Holiday Inn for our non-sleep over as we have used them in the past and we know their service is great, rooms are up to standard, the restaurant is above standard and their bus shuttle is reliable. We had a great meal, as always, at the restaurant and then retired to our rooms to refresh and have a short rest. We had a 1.00am wake up call scheduled which came through on time, however, we were both awake. We packed up and went down to meet our bus.
