Touring Europe

I want to take you on a trip, day by day, that we have took with friends in September and October last year. I have been in business with my husband for the last 20+ years so we have never had the time to take extended leave. When we retired we decided it was time to take a long break, it worked out to over 8 weeks, visiting Italy, France, Spain and Portugal and of course, because we were flying Emirates, we decided to spend a little time in Dubai while we had the chance on the way back. Packing for me is always attacked the day before we leave, I am not the type to go out and buy the new outfits for the trip, so I need to see what is in the wardrobe and clean when I am ready to pack. The very best thing we did this year was to use packing cells for our clothes, this was recommended by a friend and I can't recommend it highly enough. I will find a picture to upload for those that don't know what they are. We have traveled a little bit now and over the years I have reduced my case weight from 24kg to 15kg per journey and it was no different for this trip even though it was much longer than others we had undertaken. So on the 31 August 2017 we packed our cases, half full as you can see. The beauty of the cells is that you can have your similar items all in one cell so that you are not throwing your clothes around in search for that pair of undies you just have to wear that day.
